As an undergrad he conducted honor's thesis research while a research assistant and lab coordinator.
Master's Thesis Research: 1. Ontogeny of oxygen consumption & aerobic scope in leatherbacks. 2. Energetics of the green turtle.
He was the co-principal investigator from '01-'04 in the long-term behavioral, ecological and physiological data collection of the black sea turtle of Baja California, Mexico.
His Ph. D. Dissertation Research involves the following:
1. Aspects of water balance & regulatory physiology in sea turtles.
2. Measurements of field metabolic rate and the validation of their use in sea turtles.
3. Conservation-physiology of hatchling and juvenile leatherback sea turtles inferences from captive reared animals.
